For the fall of 2011, starting with Sept., by honoring the Perciali's
family volunteer and generous contribution of 30 years to the
culture of America

we intend to
develop

a STRONG, MULTY LEYERED

Campaign to save the museum
and its programs

(and to move it to a larger, more fitted location or, at least,  to
expend into the building where is now)

For
fall-winter 2011 through Dec. and possibly for some weeks
in Jan and Febr.
2012

you can still see Contemporary Romanian Folk Art
from the permanent collection - in
Philadelphia

and can register for
a special educational and fun Transylvanian
Halloween and for
small group visits
to see the old artifacts collection
at our branch in Princeton, NJ at
the Perciali's residency (by
appointment, once a week, mainly
for those who want to help)

Please volunteer
with any tasks that you see mentioned here or
at the web site/American Internship, popularize the museum and,
starting with Sept. bring customers to its shop, but also
help us
locate a PT experienced and dedicated coordinator so that we
can reach out to more people - Romanians, Romanian-Americans
and Americans who love beauty and want to preserve the world
cultures
with the goal to find
solutions for the museum future and at least part of the Perciali's
collections that for too many years have been stored in unproper
conditions (some parts being affected or distroyed by fire,
flooding and moths)
cause after
28 years, the Percialis are no
longer willing to keep the
museum open for the public, to make presentations,
and to invite the media on
their own.

There is need for partners, included for marketing and
developing new projects (for instance a European-American
project that would lead to a European or European-American
Village as a destination place)
and
we also need help with petitions to ask the Romanian
Government
with its representations in US , the President of
Romania and the Institute of Romanian Culture to do
, in general,
their job of
serving all Romanians not only their friends and, in
particular, to
show appreciation, cooperation, and learn from and
use th
is museum outstanding, unique in US accomplishments  in
promoting Romanian national cultural heritage
in US for more
then 28 years (including by huge media coverage)
  and to
populariz
e the museum and its programs  to the people of
Romania (who need them) and to the Romanian
s in US (and to
others in the
diaspora)   which they should invite and stimulate
to support the museum
, cooperate for solutions, and develop
more outreaching activities using the museum
experience ,
assets and succeses and
not  ignore them

For such topics and to reach out to other museums and
specialized publications in US and CA we need good PR people
and journalists  to capitalize on what Mrs.Perciali succeeded
